Students Activity Council (SAC)

Students Representatives elected through an electoral process forms a Student’s Activity Council (SAC). The SAC comprises various councils for SAC activities viz Student Development Council (SDC), Computing and networking Council (CNC), Cultural Council, Fine Art & Literary Council (FALC), Science Council, Sports Council. These councils conduct intra IISER activities. The Institute has a CRESCENT: SAC Building and an Auditorium in the LHC Complex.

National Cadet Corps (NCC)

The National Cadet Corps plays a significant part in moulding a person's character. It fosters the spirit of teamwork and man-management and leads to the development of a more pleasing overall personality.

Model United Nations (MUN)

Model United Nations is an authentic simulation of the UN General Assembly, UN Security Council, or other multilateral bodies, which catapults participants into the world of diplomacy and negotiation. In Model UN, participants step into the shoes of ambassadors of UN member states, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe to debate current issues on the Organisation's vast agenda.

Singularity

The annual science fest of IISER Bhopal. Singularity has expanded its entourage of influence, attracting college and school students alike to witness this extraordinary merry of science. Highlighting the promethean nuances of IISER as an institute meant to patronize, endow and give oxygen to scientific thinking, Singularity aims to promote out-of-the-box thinking and inculcate scientific ratiocination in the youth.

Enthuzia

The annual cultural fest of IISER Bhopal. Many cultural programs like dances, small skits, and music performances are organised in the fest, which provides students a huge stage to showcase their talent.

Inter IISER Sports Meet (IISM)

The Inter IISER Sports Meet (abbreviated and better known as IISM) is the premier multi-sport event of the national institutes dedicated to basic sciences and research. Held annually in the month of December
An event of its stature must represent the diverse sporting talent among its thousand odd participants. Accordingly, the tournament usually spans twelve broad sporting categories (Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Football, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Carrom and Volleyball) with carrom being the latest addition. Over the years, IISM has been the symbol of sportsmanship where athletes from premium research institutes strive for excellence and carve a niche of brotherhood.

Sangharsh

Sangharsh is the Intra IISERB Sports Tournament, held annually in the even semesters. It features most events spanning sports organised in the Inter IISER Sports Meets, apart from a few more. Most events are organised in batchwise teams. The tournament provides community members a chance to prove their prowess and have recreational fun, hence attracting large participation. It is also aimed at building the spirits of teamwork and sportsmanship, and promoting leadership qualities. Outstanding student performers and hidden talents are identified too here, and may get a chance to represent the institute in the IISM.

UDAY-The Ascent

The objective of UDAY magazine is multifaceted-to gain a deeper knowledge of the rich culture and wonderful spirit of the IISER'ites, platform to exchange thoughts, discover new focus for visions, and new avenues to explore.

Human Library

Everybody has a story to tell. Everybody has a lot of stories to tell. We simply provide a platform to share these stories. We interview people who wish to share a chapter from their book of life. And it’s not just the student community, we also have a dialogue with the faculty members and also the staff of IISERB As our signature event, we have the “Human Library”, where books come alive as people, who narrate their life stories live to the "readers", who listen and can interact with the human "books"!. This event is organised by the Environmental and Social Initiatives council (ESIC).

Cleanliness Drive

Environmental and Social Initiatives council (ESIC) conducts activities like cleanliness and plantation drives, talks and workshops as well.

Armageddon Fest

The annual e-gaming fest of IISER Bhopal. The Computing and Networking Council (CNC) promotes e-gaming and organises the Intra IISER e-gaming event, Armageddon.

Chrysalis

Scientifically, Chrysalis is defined as a quiescent insect pupa, especially of a butterfly. It is in the chrysalis that a caterpillar prepares itself to spread its wings and emerge as a magnificent new creature. Chrysalis gives IISER Bhopal students a similar chance - an opportunity to prepare yourself for all the scientific writing you will have to do in the future. Writing is an indispensable part of science, and what better way to prepare yourself for it than by telling others what excites you the most.
