Institute has appointed a full time Sports In charge and sufficient number of coaches for different sports i.e., Cricket, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Yoga and Basketball, Kabaddi. Coaches are available in morning and evening hours for the students so that they can get trained in their presence. Institute also provides Gym facility to the students and a gym trainer is hired for the same

Institute has full time Sports In-charge and coaches for different sports like Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Yoga, basketball etc. Institute also has a well equipped Gym facility for the students.

This also comprises the Sports Council represented by the Students under the Student Activity Council (SAC).

The Institute has the following Sports facilities in the campus:

CRESCENT: SAC Building: The CRESCENT (Sports Building, Open Performance Theatre Platform, SAC Building, Pavilion complex and Sports Activity area etc.The Sports Office, Yoga sessions and SAC meetings are now functioning here.

Outdoor Games: Play ground for Cricket, Football, Lawn Tennis, Kho-Kho, Basketball, and Volleyball

Indoor Games: Badminton Court, Table Tennis.

Health Club: Gymnasium separately for Boys and Girls and One Common Gymnasium at the Institute club.

Recreation Facilities: The Institute has an Institute Club with recreation facilities consisting of a Gymnasium, Badminton court, Table tennis and other indoor games facility.

Other Initiative of the Institute to promote Sports and other activities: The Institute has constituted the “IISER Bhopal Cultural and Sports Foundation” (ICSF, Bhopal) to promote sports and other cultural and recreation activities for the students enrolled in different academic programs BSMS, IPhD and PhD and for the campus community members. This also comprises the Sports and other Council represented by the Students under the Student Activity Council (SAC). The SAC has many types of councils like Sports, Cultural, Science, Fine Art & Literary, Student Development Councils etc. The SAC has many affiliated clubs like: Biology club, Mathematics club, Physics club, Astronomy club etc.
